Microsoft [Mobile] Pocket PC & Office Excel Client Examples

Web Services is quickly finding its way into major system integration development efforts. In back office and legacy systems alike, Web Services has become a main focus in providing mechanisms to make data move more freely between and across long-closed boundaries. An entire industry has joined forces and pushes forward in overcoming both technical hurdles such as security and market specific hurdles such as the need of standardized message formats.

There are so many products and standards pushing development in the same direction. New development tools, Internet connectivity, mobile devices and Web Services combined enables completely new software and services categories such as the iQueue Web Services Add-in. The real Mobile Internet is finally here!

While these efforts continue, an entirely different market is rapidly maturing: the mobile devices, software and services market. Very interesting solution options arise in the cross section, where Web Services meets mobility. The Bluelon iQueue Server Web Services Add-in support Microsoft® Windows® .NET Compact Framework which opens up the world of possibilities for Web Services applications on Pocket PCs, and the wireless nature of Pocket PCs opens up the world of mobility to Web Services. This means that new fuel is added to the continues expansion of the scope of the iQueue Server Suite platform.

NEW!  iQueue Messenger - Skype Integration (Optional):

The iQueue Server features an optional Messenger Add-in. The iQueue Messenger Add-in is a custom Skype full-client application for advanced remote data- gathering, processing and viewing. Typically the application is used by administrators to easily check on server status. The add-in can optionally support pushing data to remote location via chat or SMS technology. The iTooth Messenger add-in is usually used where remote monitoring and optionally control of iQueue servers is wanted but where network administrators are reluctant to open op company firewall for VPN or static redirected traffic to the iQueue Server more powerful interfaces, such as the Web or SOAP interfaces.

iTooth Server Add-ins

SOAP Web Services Server (Optional):

The iTooth Server features an optional structured Web Services Server Add-In. The Web Services Add-in is a strongly typed data, SOAP server for advanced remote data- gathering, processing and viewing. Typical applications interfacing to the SOAP Web Services Server are office productivity applications such as MS Excel or MS Access, MS Word, MS Outlook or the open source OpenOffice.org office productivity applications suite. Virtually any other customizable and XML extensible B2B, M2M or HMI type of application could theoretically be connected to the iTooth SOAP data server.

NEW!  iTooth Messenger - Skype Integration (Optional):

The iTooth Server features an optional Messenger Add-in. The iTooth Messenger Add-in is a custom Skype full-client application for advanced remote data- gathering, processing and viewing. Typically the application is used by administrators to easily check on server status. The add-in can optionally support pushing data to remote location via chat or SMS technology. The iTooth Messenger add-in is usually used where remote monitoring and optionally control of iTooth servers is wanted but where network administrators are reluctant to open op company firewall for VPN or static redirected traffic to the iTooth Server more powerful interfaces, such as the Web or SOAP interfaces.

Notification Service Server & Client (Optional):

[Text, Image & Voice support]

The Notification Service Server Add-in and accompanying Client implements advanced "Push" technology designed to promptly deliver textual data, audio messages and graphical images data of approaching users to remotely located devices such as PC's or tablet PC's or PDA's for M2H or M2M usage.

"push technology": Advanced technology in which the server "pushes" information to the user rather than waiting until the user specifically requests it. (In actuality, most of the push is triggered by user or administrator parameter pre-selection and arrives as the result of given system configuration settings.)

Product features include the capability to:

* Alert security personnel prior to users arriving, minimizing user wait time.

* Enable security personnel to ask individual security questions to users, for higher security.

* Enable security personnel to verify users against user picture on file.

* Enable security personnel to verify users against prerecorded user voice.

* Make individual user greeting and handling possible in e.g. receptions, private gated communities, golf clubs ect.

* Do customer data look-up prior to arriving at point of service, minimizing user wait time.

BlueRadar

BlueRadar is an application which helps identify and retrieve unique ID's of Bluetooth devices located in the vicinity of the computer the BlueRadar application is installed on.

Finding a Cell Phone or PDA with Bluetooth isn't such a hard task these days. Finding a Bluetooth device ID using the build in drivers of e.g. Windows on the other hand, can be an aggravating adventure. BlueRadar will not make a active connection out of thin air, it will conveniently and passively report any discoverable Bluetooth device, by name or their unique ID's, found in the near by area. This data can then easily be pasted into the iQueue web interface when administrators define new user in the server application.

BlueReader

BlueReader can be configured to transmit an alternative standard 26 bit format, where the virtual card number is calculated using the SecureName application tool. SecureName is a software package for generating encrypted secure parameters used to enable mobile phones to interact with legacy card based access control systems.
