Annual Upgrade Protection (AUP)

Bluelon's Annual Upgrade Protection (AUP) is offered for a subset of Bluelon products such as the BRW-200 or other selected products. AUP allows registered Bluelon software users to upgrade to any software version of the registered product that is released during the coverage period without paying an additional upgrade charge. Customers with AUP can also receive service packs, patches, and other enhancements to the products as they are released. Maintaining current AUP coverage is the most economical way to keep up-to-date with the latest Bluelon technologies. Rather than purchasing an upgraded version of a product every few years, customers can accurately budget for software upgrades though the AUP program and treat the upgrades as annual business expenses rather than periodic, large purchases.

The products included in the AUP program normally include AUP coverage for one year in the initial price. Additional years of AUP coverage can be purchased at anytime during the coverage period. The following link provides Bluelon AUP Policy.

While Bluelon continues to enhance its products, Bluelon does not guarantee new product releases during any specific period of time.

How is AUP Different

Unlike software maintenance programs, AUP does not contain an element of technical support. This is a somewhat unique approach in the industry and provides distinct advantages such as:

	AUP is less expensive than maintenance programs from other companies; usually less than half the price.
	Support needs can be gauged independently and support contracts purchased to meet exact needs. Often support needs are greater during the early phase of product use and taper off after the installation has been in place for some time.

Obtaining Upgrades With AUP

Customers with current AUP coverage are entitled to get any available version of the Bluelon product for which they have licenses. Bluelon will make its best attempts to notify registered product users of enhancements to products; however, the best way to learn of new product releases is to periodically visit the Bluelon Web site at:

Renewing Coverage

Most Bluelon products include AUP coverage for one year in the license price, and additional years of AUP coverage can be purchased at any time during the coverage period.
